Synopsis: A Nazi officer wants to organize a Football match between Hungarian labour servicemen of war and Germany on Hitler’s birthday. Onodi once a star football player is called from the Hungary servicemen and is told to organize a team for it. For that Onodi demands extra food and free from any work till the match happens. Onondi starts to organize a team to play. They then start to practice but soon they get a plan to escape which they do but they are caught and are to be punished by death penalty after the match. They all are discouraged and play the game as they don’t know it and lag behind by 3 goals but soon Onodi score’s a goal before half time. As they all know they are going to die anyway, they take their courage up and play with all their power and start to score goals. And finally they lead by a goal and the score gets to 4 by Hungarian servicemen of war and 3 Germany. The Hungarians start to celebrate but the Nazi officer gets angry because of it and shoots all of them. There have been at least four remakes of this film: the original 1974 version of The Longest Yard; Escape to Victory; Mean Machine (a direct adaptation of The Longest Yard, but featuring association football instead of the former film’s American football); and the 2005 version of The Longest Yard (also about American football).
